Being Over-weight or Obese. Seeking Solutions ?

A lot of people have a problem with their body weight. Nowadays every second person suffers from obesity and it leads to a serious health disorders. The lattes researches found that in the soon feature half of the population in the world will have overweight issues. Problems with being overweight It is known that obesity can cause serious health problems, such as: diabetes, high blood pressure, digestive disorders, cardiac problems, thyroid problems, ulcers and etc. Resent research proves that 1/3 of the world population are consuming 50%more food that they needed. Why do we become overweight? Most people are not aware that they are overweight. They notice it when it is too late and solving the problem is very hard. The question is how to know if we are overweight. Our waist-to-hip ratio and the fat percentage can show us if we have extra pounds. For women, fat ratio of 25%  to the total body weight is considered OK. For Men It should not exceed 20%, but if it...

Friends.., Let us talk about GPP to start with.., - General Physical Preparedness or in other words, the ability of our body to tackle challenging day to day tasks or activities with relative ease and without much discomfort. An improvement in GPP means bringing in improvement in the quality of our life. Talking of GPP, there are 5 important components of it: 1. Cardio Respiratory Endurance 2. Muscular Endurance 3. Musculo-skeletal Strength 4. Flexibility & 5. Ideal Body Composition First things first! Cardio Respiratory Endurance - In other words is the stamina of your heart and lungs working together. There are 2 types of activities which we do inside a Gym, i.e, Aerobic & Anaerobic. Aerobic covers: Jogging, Cycling, Skipping, Stair Climbing, Swimming to be more specific.
